McCann Fitzgerald consultant elected to American College of Bankruptcy
Jane Marshall, a consultant at McCann Fitzgerald, has become the first Irish person elected to the American College of Bankruptcy.
Ms Marshall was inducted into Class 28 of the college at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on Friday, the firm said.
Ms Marshall is a consultant in the firm’s restructuring and insolvency group. She has advised extensively on rescues and insolvencies of companies engaged in a wide variety of businesses, frequently involving cross-border issues. She also has experience of fraud investigations, including tracing assets abroad.
Welcoming the announcement, managing partner Barry Devereux said: “Jane is one of the leading experts in the area of restructuring and insolvency and we are extremely proud of her achievement in receiving this well-deserved and esteemed international honour.
“This announcement represents industry recognition of Jane’s standing globally in the restructuring and insolvency field.”
The American College of Bankruptcy is an honorary professional and educational association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals.
Professionals who are invited to join as fellows must meet strict criteria to be eligible for selection, including the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership, contributing to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice.
