McCann FitzGerald named Ireland’s law firm of the year
McCann FitzGerald LLP has been named Ireland’s law firm of the year at The Lawyer European Awards 2021 in London.
The firm, which also won the European litigation team of the year award and was highly commended in the European finance team of the year category, has won the top award for Ireland three times in six years.
In making the awards, the firm was commended for its “excellent display of teamwork”, together with “being able to adapt at pace” which “clearly sets the firm apart from the rest”.
Managing partner Barry Devereux said: “The firm is truly honoured to have received three awards this year. This marks the third time in six years that the firm has been recognised as law firm of the year for Ireland, having previously won it in 2016 and 2018.
“This accomplishment, in addition to being recognised at a European-wide level for our litigation and finance teams, is testament to the very high quality and unstinting commitment of our people and to our clients who regard us as their trusted advisers and partners on their most significant legal issues.
“The acknowledgment of teamwork and our adaptability is particularly good to see being rewarded, recognising as it does the firm’s collaborative culture, positioning us to advise clients on their most complex business transactions, critical disputes and legal and regulatory matters.”
