McDowell Purcell to give advice to DCU start-ups
Dublin firm McDowell Purcell has announced a new partnership with Invent, the innovation and enterprise centre based on Dublin City University’s main campus.
Corporate partner Jonathan Lynch has been appointed as a new legal adviser working with DCU start-up companies.
Invent’s mission is to work with external companies and DCU researchers to promote innovation, knowledge transfer and commercialisation of DCU innovations through licensing and start-up companies.
It provides start-ups with extensive links with industry to help forge business and research partnerships and to market DCU’s commercialisation opportunities and research capabilities both nationally and internationally.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr Lynch said: “I am delighted with this appointment. Invent DCU’s start-up community harvests some of the brightest minds and most incredible concepts and ideas.
“The prospect of being able to play a role in assisting these start-ups to establish, grow and commercialise these concepts and ideas is one that truly excites me.”
