NI: McLernon Moynagh Solicitors appoints property and immigration lawyer
Belfast-based McLernon Moynagh Solicitors has appointed Hugh Sally to lead the firm’s immigration and asylum law department.
Mr Sally told Irish Legal News: “Having practiced in a leading property and immigration law firm in South Belfast for the last ten years, I am delighted to begin the new year by joining McLernon Moynagh Solicitors in Holywood.
“I have been aware of their work in the areas of equality and human rights for some time and look forward to contributing to this over the coming years.”
Mr Sally also joins the firm’s property team, but his key responsibility will be leading the firm’s immigration and asylum law department.
He said: “The myriad of forms and options involved with most applications can be extremely daunting for an individual wishing to regularise or extend their leave.
“In an area where a missed deadline or wrong choice of form can be hugely detrimental, I can avail of extensive experience to guide a client through the process. When an applicant has spent the requisite time here I can assist them on applications for full Irish or UK Citizenship. I represent asylum seekers at all stages of their application.
“Our immigration department also offers comprehensive advice to companies seeking help on their duties, responsibilities and procedural requirements when hiring non UK or EEA nationals.”
Mr Sally added: “I look forward to working with partners Roger and CiarĂ¡n and the rest of the team at McLernon Moynagh as the firm continues its rapid growth.”
