Mediators’ Institute congratulates mediator on election to Dáil
The Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII) has congratulated a MII-certified mediator on her election to the Dáil.
Josepha Madigan, a former member of the MII Council, was elected as a Fine Gael TD in the Dublin Rathdown constituency on the sixth count.
Sabine Walsh, president of the MII, said: “We are delighted to learn of Josepha’s achievement in securing election to the 32nd Dáil in the Dublin Rathdown constituency. I know that the Dáil will benefit from her extensive knowledge and experience of mediation.”
She added: “Through her work as a solicitor and as former Specialist Liaison Officer for Family Mediation in the MII, Josepha has made a major contribution to advancing the cause of mediation.
“In addition, I would also call on all newly elected TDs to commit to the early enactment of the long delayed Mediation Bill. The Bill would deliver major cost savings to the general public, the State, organisations and businesses across the country as well as delivering faster and better quality outcomes for those involved in disputes.”
