Men stabbed in Galway Court House foyer
Two men are recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the foyer of Galway Court House yesterday, the Irish Independent reports.
The two brothers, reportedly aged 17 and 20, were attending the courthouse in support of a family member appearing in the dock before the incident took place at around 10.50am.
One brother reportedly suffered a serious injury to his back and the other was said to have been stabbed in the arm. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Court officials were forced to call in cleaning staff to clear the floor of blood splatter, but cases continued to be heard throughout the day and the building was not evacuated.
Three men were arrested in connection with the attack and taken to a local Garda station to be interviewed.
