NI: Mr Justice McCloskey to address Northern Ireland’s first immigration law conference
Mr Justice McCloskey is set to address Northern Ireland’s first immigration law conference in Belfast this November.
The judge joins Professor Colin Harvey from Queen’s University Belfast on the platform at the event organised by the Immigration Practitioners’ Group NI.
The conference will also hear from Fionnuala Connolly BL, chair of the Bar Immigration Practitioners Association (BIPA), and Maria McCloskey, an associate solicitor at Napier & Sons and chair of the Immigration Practitioners’ Group NI.
Titled “Borders and blurred lines. Entry to the UK: rights and restrictions in practice”, the event will examine recent developments in the legal and policy frameworks, with regards to the rights afforded to, and restrictions imposed upon, people wishing to enter and live in the UK.
It takes place at Law Society House in Belfast on 23 November 2018 and tickets are available for a minimum donation of £30 via the Law Society website.
