New appointment to NI Equality Commission

Jim McCooe
Jim McCooe has been appointed to the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland for a three-year term.
Mr McCooe is currently a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee at Northern Ireland’s Department of Health. He is also business improvement director at Healthy Kidz.
He was previously a senior executive at Lloyds Banking Group and held a number of board positions including trustee of Halifax Foundation and Marlay Trust.
Mr McCooe’s appointment by Northern Ireland secretary Chris-Heaton Harris will take effect from 1 May 2024.
