New podcast explores working in criminology and the law

A new podcast has been launched by Maynooth University Department of Law to highlight what working in the criminology and legal fields is like.
Dr Avril Brandon, lecturer and assistant professor of criminology, is hosting the new podcast, which will be released on a weekly basis via SoundCloud.
Speaking to Irish Legal News, Dr Brandon said: “Through this podcast, we hope to highlight the many pathways and opportunities that may be taken after studying law or criminology, and to showcase some of the work being undertaken in these fields currently.
“Additionally, we hope that it encourages student listeners to reflect on their employability as individuals.
“As each guest discusses the range of unique skills that they have cultivated, often through extracurricular pursuits or personal circumstances, we hope that listeners can consider what they can bring beyond their degree results.”
