In a statement issued yesterday, the society’s president, Brigid Napier, said: “The invasion of Ukraine is a flagrant violation of international law and will cause unpardonable suffering to the civilian population and give rise to a humanitarian crisis.”

The Law Society of Northern Ireland will be publishing a list of solicitors who have offered to provide free legal help for Ukraine nationals currently living in Northern Ireland who are trying to bring family members out of harm’s way.
