NI: Northern Ireland Office survives UK government rebrand
The Northern Ireland Office (NIO) has apparently survived a rebrand that saw the Scotland Office and Wales Office renamed.
The UK government departments for Scotland and Wales will now be known as the Office of the Secretary of State for Scotland and Office of the Secretary of State for Wales.
A government spokesperson said the change “ensures people can be confident about which responsibilities the UK Government delivers and are able to identify which issues have been devolved”.
The Northern Ireland Office, headed by Northern Ireland Secretary Karen Bradley, continues to use its existing branding.
