Ogier has appointed structured finance and capital markets expert Richard Kelly to its banking and finance team in Ireland.

Mr Kelly advises international and domestic clients on all aspects of debt capital markets transactions.

His specialisation is in structured finance, CLO, ABS and other securitisation products, as well as prime brokerage services (including derivatives, repos, securities lending and crypto trading).

He also advises on regulatory issues relating to the trading of financial instruments and digital assets.

Mr Kelly is the current president of the EU and international affairs committee of the Law Society of Ireland and regularly chairs working groups of the Irish Debt Securities Association (IDSA).

John Hogan, practice partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the partnership in Dublin.

“Richard brings a wealth of international and local expertise and market knowledge. He is a fantastic addition to our fast-growing banking, finance and debt capital markets teams.”

Mr Kelly’s appointment now brings Ogier’s Dublin-based leadership team to 15, with a total headcount of nearly 100 employees in Ireland.

In the last two years, Ogier has extended its legal services to the Irish market to include banking, debt capital markets and investment funds services, building on its established corporate, real estate, dispute resolution, restructuring and employment practices.
