Over 100 attend Arbitration Ireland’s London launch
Over 100 leading practitioners attended the launch of Arbitration Ireland’s new London chapter.
Gavin Woods, president of Arbitration Ireland, told the meeting that the new London chapter would provide a platform in London for the Irish legal diaspora and friends to meet and discuss matters connected with arbitration in Ireland and elsewhere.
Mr Woods (pictured) also said he wanted to build a deep awareness and friendship between London and Dublin in the arbitration context, where London practitioners can have the “greatest confidence” that undertaking a case in Dublin provides them with a familiar system.
Michael Collins SC also spoke about the strength and depth of the arbitral community in Ireland and the positive judicial attitude towards arbitration.
The launch was described as a “great success”.
Members of the new London branch have been invited to Dublin International Arbitration Day this November.
