NI: Over 300 solicitors attend Law Society annual conveyancing conference
Over 300 solicitors from across Northern Ireland attended the Law Society’s annual conveyancing conference.
This year’s conference at the Hilton Hotel in Templepatrick was sponsored by Willis Towers Watson.
Now in its sixth year, the conveyancing conference has become a regular feature of the legal calendar.
The programme covered current issues of importance and relevance to solicitors who undertake conveyancing transactions, as well as a general overview of the increased threats from cyber crime.
Speakers included Madam Justice McBride; solicitors Simon Murray and Mary Murnaghan; Stephanie Millar of the Northern Ireland Environment Agency; Simon Hunter and Harry Weir of Willis Towers Watson; and Sam Kinkaid of the PSNI cyber crime centre.
Alan Reid, chair of the Law Society’s conveyancing and property committee, said: “The Society is delighted that so many local solicitors attended the annual conveyancing conference.
“We are especially grateful to our key note speakers. our exhibitors and our principal sponsor Willis Towers Watson for their contribution in making the 2019 conference such a success.”
