Over 90 solicitors admitted to Northern Ireland roll
Over 90 newly-admitted solicitors have been warmly welcomed to the Northern Ireland solicitors’ profession at an admission ceremony held at the Assembly Buildings in Belfast.
The solicitors were presented by David A. Lavery CB, registrar of solicitors, to the Lady Chief Justice for Northern Ireland, Dame Siobhan Keegan, and the Law Society of Northern Ireland’s president, Brian Archer.
Following the ceremony, the Lady Chief Justice and Mr Archer presented a number of prizes.
The Professional Conduct Prize was awarded to Alexandra Sarah Craig who achieved first place in the Law Society’s Professional Conduct Course.
Hollie Dickey was awarded the Solicitors Accounts Prize for achieving first place in the Law Society’s Solicitors Accounts Course.
Speaking afterwards, Mr Archer said: “As we begin the journey of next 100 years of the solicitor profession in Northern Ireland, we do so confident that our next generation of solicitors will continue to provide the invaluable legal services and access to justice that clients and the community need.”
