Pádraig Ó Ríordáin to chair National Lottery operator
Pádraig Ó Ríordáin, former managing partner of Arthur Cox, has been appointed non-executive chairman of Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI), operator of the National Lottery.
His appointment, along with that of businesswoman Vivienne Jupp, takes effect immediately.
Outgoing chairperson Bogdan Cenanovic said: “We are delighted to have Pádraig and Vivienne join PLI’s board. Their appointments further align PLI’s board with such best governance practices as diversity and having independent directors.
“Their wealth of experience will be invaluable in helping PLI achieve its goals of driving responsible growth and raising funds for good causes, building on the €5 billion of good causes raised to date since the lottery’s inception.”
