Patricia Ball O’Keeffe reappointed to board of Pobal
Solicitor Patricia Ball O’Keeffe has been reappointed to the board of Pobal, a not-for-profit company which works on behalf of the Irish government and the EU.
Rural and Community Development Minister Heather Humphreys yesterday announced the appointment of five directors, comprising two new members and three reappointed members.
Ms O’Keeffe, who works at Dillon Eustace and brings over 20 years’ experience as a solicitor, is joined by Rosarii Mannion, Iseult White, Catherine Lynch and Ann Hanley. In total, the board consists of nine women and six men.
Pobal works to support social inclusion and local and community development, delivering over 30 separate programmes for a range of government departments.
Ms Humphreys said: “There were many expressions of interest for the vacancies on the Board of Pobal and I want to thank everyone who took the time to apply.
“Pobal is a key delivery partner for many government departments. Since the 1990s they have assisted government in the delivery of countless schemes and programmes. I am delighted to see the appointment of new talent to the board of what is a very important body.”
Professor Deiric Ó Broin, chairperson of the Pobal board of directors, added: “We are delighted to welcome new members to the Pobal board of directors. Collectively, they bring years of expertise in key areas including leadership and management, human resources, diversity and inclusion.
“Their knowledge and skills will provide valuable perspectives, enhancing the work of the board of Pobal as we carry out our responsibilities on behalf of the government of Ireland.”
