In pictures… ByrneWallace welcomes delegation from Danish law firm
ByrneWallace has hosted a delegation of visiting lawyers from Advodan, a major Danish full service law firm, for a discussion on trade and business opportunities between Ireland and Denmark.
Seemab Sheikh, counsellor and deputy head of mission at the Danish Embassy, was the keynote speaker and honorary guest, outlining the opportunities to increase trade and business relations.
She also highlighted a number of sectors which offer significant potential for growth between both countries, namely life sciences and biotech, construction, healthcare, energy – sectors where ByrneWallace told Irish Legal News it has noted expertise.
Following the presentation, lawyers from the two firms facilitated roundtable workshops to discuss mutual areas of practice such as M&A, insolvency, construction, litigation and cross-border litigation.
The ByrneWallace lawyers were led by managing partner Catherine Guy, while the Advodan delegation was led by CEO Morten Arnberg.
ByrneWallace told ILN one of the key issues to emerge from the “informative” discussion was the challenges faced by digital disruption in the legal sector in both jurisdictions.
