Pinsent Masons celebrates entry into M&A rankings after first year in Ireland
Pinsent Masons has celebrated being ranking in the top 10 for M&A deal volume in its first full year in the Irish market.
The international law firm opened its Dublin office last year, specialising in the financial services and technology sectors.
The firm was ranked eighth in the latest Experian M&A market figures.
Partner Dennis Agnew said: “Our figures for 2018 were hugely encouraging. As one of only a handful of international legal advisors serving the Irish market, our local talent is backed up by huge strength in depth in 25 offices across the globe. That means when a deal is large-scale, multi-jurisdictional, or in a specialist area our capacity and seamless servicing really adds value.
“Examples include advising EDF on the acquisition of the 450MW Neart na Gaoithe Wind Farm from Mainstream, and advising Equistone Partners Europe and management on the sale of Travel Counsellors through a secondary buyout to Vitruvian Partners, which involved advice from our Irish, UK, Australian, South African and UAE offices.
“The firm’s ambition for the Irish market is being realised as we grow quickly, and over the next few months, we look forward to continuing to add to our team with a further three new partners across banking, energy & projects and real estate recently announced.”
