NI: Police report on Bloody Sunday sent to prosecutors
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) has sent a report on the Bloody Sunday killings in 1972 to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).
In August, police completed interviews of a number of former British soldiers who were involved in the incident on 30 January 1972, in which fourteen civilians were shot and killed by soldiers.
The PPS will now decide whether to start prosecutions based on their findings.
Det Ch Insp Ian Harrison told BBC News: “We can confirm a report has now been submitted to the PPS for consideration. The families have been informed of this development.”
