NI: Property and finance professionals attended Davidson McDonnell seminar
Over 70 property and financial professionals attended a breakfast seminar hosted by law firm Davidson McDonnell in Belfast.
The client seminar, titled “Navigating the Choppy Waters of an uncertain property market”, was addressed by the firm’s legal director Clare Templeton and senior solicitor Giles Williams.
Ms Templeton, who belongs to the firm’s commercial litigation and dispute resolution team, discussed changes to the court system proposed by the Civil Justice Review, and provided an update on legal developments within insolvency and business restructuring.
Mr Williams, of the commercial property team, delivered a talk on the issues encountered when a tenant becomes insolvent, something which is sadly very topical, in light of recent high profile retailer failures.
Speaking after the seminar, Ross Davidson, director at Davidson McDonnell, said: “The decision to run this seminar was based on feedback from our clients and business introducers.
“There is a wealth of knowledge within the team at Davidson McDonnell and through events like this, we hope to educate and assist our clients and the wider business community in understanding the issues at play in the commercial property market in Northern Ireland.
“Thanks to everyone who attended and to Clare and Giles for providing such informative and insightful presentations.”
