Raymond Byrne appointed to Law Reform Commission

Former Dublin City University (DCU) lecturer Raymond Byrne has been appointed as the full-time commissioner in the Law Reform Commission.

Mr Byrne has served for the past 13 years as the Commission’s director of research.

He replaces Finola Flanagan in the role and joins part-time commissioners Tom O’Malley, Donncha O’Connell and Ms Justice Carmel Stewart under president Mr Justice John Quirke.

The appointment was announced yesterday following a Public Appointments Service competition.
