RDJ appoints new heads of dispute resolution and corporate groups
RDJ has appointed partner Ronan Geary as head of the firm’s dispute resolution group and partner Diarmaid Gavin as head of the corporate and commercial group.
Mr Geary, a partner in the firm’s Cork office, takes over the leadership of the dispute resolution team from Darryl Broderick, who held the post for seven years.
Mr Broderick said: “Many congratulations to Ronan on his appointment. Ronan is an outstanding litigator who during his more than two decades at the firm has demonstrated a strong commitment to RDJ, provided exemplary service to clients, and dedicated himself to mentoring others.
“I have no doubt he will bring the same energy and focus to this new role and accelerate the growth of our disputes practice.”
Mr Geary added: “I am very proud to take on the role of head of RDJ’s dispute resolution team. We have an extremely talented team of lawyers working regularly on some of the country’s most significant and high-profile litigation.
“I look forward to building on the success that Darryl and the broader team have achieved in recent years, as well as continuing to advance the firm’s strategic priorities in this exciting area of work.”
Mr Gavin, also a Cork-based partner, succeeds Gillian Keating as head of the corporate and commercial group, which she led for nine years.
Ms Keating said: “I look forward to supporting Diarmaid’s vision for the delivery of innovative commercial legal solutions to our clients.
“I anticipate a period of accelerated growth in the years ahead as we leverage the considerable skills of the team to support our corporate clients’ requirements across many sectors.”
Mr Gavin said: “I am honoured and excited to be appointed to this role and continue the excellent work done by Gillian.
“We have a great team with exceptional legal minds, and I look forward to leading the team as we grow and continue to deliver quality advice and support to our clients.”
