Richard McDonnell SC
Barrister Richard J.J. McDonnell SC has passed away.
Mr McDonnell died “peacefully but unexpectedly” on Saturday 8 February 2025, according to a notice published by his family on rip.ie.
An experienced litigator, he called to the Bar in 1980 and became a senior counsel in 2001.
Funeral arrangements for Mr McDonnell have not yet been published.
The rip.ie notice states that it will be updated on Friday 14 February 2025.
