Robert Purcell
Well-known criminal law solicitor Robert Purcell has passed away.
Mr Purcell, originally from Co Galway, was a partner at M.E. Hanahoe Solicitors and a familiar face in the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin.
He tragically died on Monday 27 February and his funeral Mass took place at the Church of the Assumption in Howth this morning.
The M.E. Hanahoe Solicitors website describes Mr Purcell as “one of the country’s leading defence lawyers with an unprecedented reputation”.
In addition to his practice, he regularly lectured on criminal litigation and was a former member of the Law Society of Ireland’s criminal law committee.
