Ronan Daly Jermyn names four new partners in 2018 promotion round
Ronan Daly Jermyn has announced the promotion of Cian Fenton, Peter Groarke, Louise Smith and Antoinette Vahey to partner as part of its 2018 round of promotions.
The promotions, across the firm’s banking and finance, employment, healthcare and litigation practices, bring the number of partners across its Cork, Dublin, Galway and London offices to 47.
Mr Fenton, in banking and finance, practices in finance transactions including acquisition finance, real estate and development finance, structured finance, loan portfolio sales, and debt restructuring. His clients include domestic and international banks, alternative finance providers and non-bank lenders, and corporate borrowers, particularly in construction and hospitality.
Mr Groarke, in healthcare, has experience handling complex high value claims, including professional negligence and clinical negligence, and acts on behalf of a number of major indemnifiers. He provides specialist advices on inquest hearings and professional medical complaints to healthcare clients and also represents nursing home facilities.
Ms Smith, in litigation and dispute resolution, has experience advising on motor, employers’, and public liability as well as indemnity claims for both insured and self-insured bodies. She is particularly well known for her work in the area of insurance fraud, defending fraudulent and exaggerated claims, and assisting clients in the formation of anti-fraud strategies.
Ms Vahey, in employment, has experience providing strategic legal advice and representing clients in the Workplace Relations Commission, Labour and High Court, as well as practising as a CEDR-qualified mediator. Her clients include pharmaceutical, med-tech, manufacturing and technology multinationals, as well as universities and educational establishments.
