Rosemary Connolly Solicitors secures BBC settlement for Lena Ferguson
Rosemary Connolly Solicitors has secured a “very satisfactory” settlement for former BBC journalist Lena Ferguson after she sued the broadcaster over alleged bullying.
Ms Ferguson had accused the BBC of breaching its duty of care in relation to a complaint of alleged bullying which she made in 2019 while working on Spotlight.
Principal solicitor Rosemary Connolly acted for Ms Ferguson with assistance from Patrick Lyttle KC and Bobbie-Leigh Herdman BL.
Ms Connolly said: “Our firm were delighted to act in this matter on behalf of award-winning investigative journalist Lena Ferguson and to secure a very satisfactory settlement on her behalf.
“Very grateful for the expert guidance of Mr Patrick Lyttle KC and Ms Bobbie-Leigh Herdman BL.”
The firm recently acted for former Newsline presenter Donna Traynor in a separate action against the BBC, which also ended in a settlement.
