Sarah Jones awarded Paul Anthony McDermott Memorial Scholarship

Sarah Jones has been awarded the inaugural Paul Anthony McDermott Memorial Scholarship to support her journey to becoming a barrister.
The scholarship was awarded on the fifth anniversary of the barrister and law lecturer’s tragic passing in 2019 at the age of 47.
Arranged through the UCD Foundation, the scholarship was supported by a number of law alumni at University College Dublin, some of whom were colleagues of Mr McDermott.
The scholarship will support Ms Jones’ progression from UCD to the barrister-at-law degree programme at the King’s Inns, where she is now a student.
