Second Special Criminal Court to be assigned cases for first sitting

The second Special Criminal Court will be assigned cases for its first sitting in Dublin today, The Irish Times reports.
Cases will be referred by the first Special Criminal Court, which is dealing with a massive backlog and has no available dates for trial before April 2018.
The rules of court for the second Special Criminal Court were signed last week in the wake of the appointment of seven serving jujdges to its bench in Otober 2015.
