Sir Declan Morgan to deliver lecture on Northern Ireland’s chief justices
Sir Declan Morgan, former Lord Chief Justice of Northern Ireland, will next week deliver a lecture on the history of Northern Ireland’s chief justices.
The event on Wednesday 8 December, 5pm, will look at the 10 individuals who have held the top judicial post from 1921 up to the present day and the first Lady Chief Justice.
It will also consider the circumstances and context in which their tenure took place.
The talk forms part of the Legal History Project announced earlier this month, which is chaired by Dame Siobhan Keegan and brings together the judiciary with the Bar and the Law Society.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the lecture will take place virtually. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
