Solicitor appointed regional manager of IDA Ireland
A lawyer who joined investment body IDA Ireland as a property solicitor in 2012 has been appointed its regional manager for South East Ireland.
Brendan McDonald, from Killeen, Co Laois, will be responsible for driving new foreign direct investment to Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Tipperary under IDA Ireland’s national strategy.
He qualified as a solicitor in 2007 and practised with Coughlan White & Partners in Co Kildare before his appointment as a property solicitor at IDA Ireland in 2012. He served as a regional executive from 2015.
Mr McDonald told Waterford Today: “I am looking forward to fighting hard for jobs for the South-East region. Winning jobs is a team effort and I, alongside my team in IDA, will continue to sell the many benefits of the South-East region to investors.”

Mr McDonald studied at the University of Limerick and holds Diplomas from Law Society in Legal French (Code Civil et Commerce) and Environment & Planning Law, as well as a Diploma in International Business Development from the Irish Management Institute.
