Southern Law Association honours senior colleagues
The Southern Law Association (SLA) has hosted a lunch to honour solicitors who have been qualified for 50 years or more for the first time since the pandemic.
Emma Meagher Neville, SLA president, told Irish Legal News: “The over-50s lunch is a hugely important, usually biennial, event for the SLA.
“This year’s event on Friday 5th May was particularly special as it was the first time the lunch was held since 2019 on account of the pandemic and a minute’s silence was observed for our colleagues that had passed away in the last few years.
“The SLA has always recognised how important it is to celebrate and pay tribute to our senior colleagues whose contribution to our profession was and still is immense.
“Many of the invitees still practise and play a vital role in sharing their knowledge and wisdom with us all. It was a fabulous day spent in the company of truly inspiring people.”
