Squire Patton Boggs hosts Ohio delegation in Dublin
Global law firm Squire Patton Boggs welcomed civic and business leaders from the firm’s native Ohio to its new Dublin office following the launch of a new direct flight from Ohio to Ireland.
Squire Patton Boggs was founded in Cleveland, Ohio and the visit of the delegation from north-east Ohio coincided with the first flight offered by Aer Lingus from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to Dublin Airport.
Cleveland mayor Justin Bibb, Cleveland City Council president Blaine Griffin, Cuyahoga county executive Chris Ronayne, as well as representatives from the Greater Cleveland Partnership, JobsOhio, Huntington Bank and Eaton Corp., were among those taking part.
Dennis Agnew, Irish managing partner at Squire Patton Boggs, said: “The timing of this visit could not have been better, and we were honoured to meet the many distinguished members of this delegation.
“The new Aer Lingus route will open up new economic opportunities between Ohio and Ireland, and as the only law firm with a presence in both markets we look forward to bringing our connections and services to bear to help the vision of these discussions become a reality.”
During the delegation’s visit, Squire Patton Boggs hosted a panel discussion exploring the strategies Irish businesses can use to establish and expand their businesses across industry sectors in Cleveland and the north-east Ohio region. The session was moderated by Greater Cleveland Partnership CEO Baiju Shah.
Squire Patton Boggs opened its Dublin office earlier this month, its 15th location in Europe and one of more than 40 offices worldwide.
