Former Law Society of Ireland director Teri Kelly has established a new specialist communications agency, Total Reputation, aimed at law firms north and south of the border.
Ms Kelly recently left the Law Society after 11 years as director of representation and member services, during which she spearheaded numerous high-profile communications campaigns for the legal profession.
She oversaw the Law Society’s communications strategies during the marriage equality and divorce referendums, led a high-impact rebrand and digital overhaul which grew annual website visits by 42 per cent to more than 2.7 million, and introduced industry-leading mental health and wellbeing supports for solicitors.
Her new business aims to help solicitors’ firms throughout the island of Ireland to strengthen their professional standing and better engage with clients, stakeholders and the wider public.
It provides services in areas including websites and social media, media and PR, thought leadership, crisis management, communications management and cross-border expertise.
Ms Kelly said: “When I talk to principals in law firms, they know how critical their reputation is, yet often don’t have the time to manage it as they’d like.
“We all know what can happen when a firm’s reputation goes wrong: it can spell disaster. Yet when a firm has a strong reputation, they win clients and attract talent with ease.
“Total Reputation’s services — from digital communications to crisis planning to managed services — are designed to give firms a competitive edge in a crowded marketplace while protecting against any reputation crises that may be around the corner.”
