NI: Terror charge for convict with list of judges
A man appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court today charged with terror offences after allegedly being found with a list of names of members of the judiciary.
Connor Hughes, 23, was charged under section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Under the law, a person has committed an offence if he or she “collects or makes a record of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”.
Mr Hughes is already serving time at HMP Maghaberry.
His alleged list reportedly also included the names of Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officers.
Mr Hughes was ordered by District Judge Mervyn Bates to appear at Lisburn Magistrates Court by video-link in November.
