The Cork-based firm poked fun at the county’s long-standing sporting rivalries as it announced the summer promotions.

Ms Fogarty and Ms Maher are natives of Clare and Kilkenny, while Ms Connolly is from Cork.

Cantillons “has sought to harvest the goodness of that rivalry in its recent promotions within the firm”, the firm joked.

Managing partner Ernest Cantillon said: “We are delighted to announce these appointments.

“Marian and Aisling are part of our medical negligence team and Amy is in the general litigation team. They are all highly experienced litigators and bring a wealth of experience with them.
