Tughans has announced its sponsorship of the Insurance Institute of Northern Ireland’s (IINI) Premium Masterclass series.

Solicitor Neil Cahill from the firm’s dispute resolution team launched the new series alongside keynote speaker and four-time Paralympic gold medallist Dr Michael McKillop and IINI president Iain Patterson.

Delegates also heard from Jack McIllduff, who has over 50 years of experience in the local insurance sector and is one of the most respected business leaders in Northern Ireland.

The eighth year of the masterclass series will feature technical insurance presentations from industry experts, alongside talks focusing on the soft-skills involved in business and management success.

This year’s series is the largest to date with over 170 decision makers within the insurance industry registered to attend the first masterclass.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Patterson said: “In the face of a changeable business environment it is essential that local insurance firms and professionals continue to seek new and improved ways of doing things and stay on top of developments such as Ogden and Brexit.

“In response to this, the Premium Masterclass Series provides updates on technical insurance topics as well as insights into key business disciplines and economic drivers.”
