NI: Tughans to offer free legal clinic at major tech event Digital DNA
Commercial law firm Tughans will run a free legal clinic at this year’s Digital DNA, the biggest digital and tech event in Northern Ireland.
Over 3,000 delegates are expected to attend the two-day conference next week, where Tughans sponsors the UpSTART competition.
Solicitors from the corporate and IT and contracts teams at Tughans will offer dedicated time to UpSTART participants and other start-ups attending Digital DNA on 18 and 19 June 2019.
Participants in the legal clinic will also be entered into a random prize draw for a set of Apple Airpods and a voucher for £1,000 in free legal services for Tughans.
Adrian O’Connell, head of IT and contracts at Tughans, said: “We are delighted to continue our support of upSTART at Digital DNA this year. Through the legal clinics we aim to assist start-ups in navigating any legal barriers they might face in terms of seeking investment, as well as providing specialist assistance with key legal issues.”
Simon Bailie, CEO of Digital DNA, said: “Tughans’ start-up legal clinic really demonstrates their commitment to the local digital and technology sectors. With this year’s upSTART pitch competition having a particular focus on innovation, as well as the potential to scale and grow outside of Northern Ireland, the specialist guidance these fledgling companies will receive will undoubtedly play an important part in their future growth and development.”
