Tully Rinckey appoints Malachy Kearney to lead investment funds team
Tully Rinckey LLP has announced the appointment of experienced funds lawyer Malachy Kearney as a partner in Dublin and head of the firm’s investment funds department.
Mr Kearney joins from a large Irish corporate law firm where he held the same positions, having previously served as in-house counsel for an international bank in the Cayman Islands, head of legal for a global fund administration company, and head of the funds department for a top tier London law firm.

Mr Kearney works with domestic and international clients on the establishment and operation of Irish regulated funds, as well as all associated investment and regulatory matters, and has extensive experience advising funds, promoters and service providers on asset management and investment fund related matters, including the establishment, authorisation and operation of all types of Irish investment funds.
He also has significant expertise in UCITS regulation as well as experience in AIFs authorised under the Irish AIFM regime. Using his previous senior in-house experience, he also advises his clients on corporate matters emanating from investments funds such as seed and venture capital raising and private equity.
A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin, Mr Kearney is qualified as a solicitor north and south of the border.
