Lewis Silkin has promoted Declan Groarke and Niamh Crotty to senior roles in its Dublin office.

Mr Groarke has been promoted to managing associate in the firm’s immigration and global mobility practice, which supports both employers and private clients with their immigration needs.

He has taken ownership of developing the already growing practice and has supplemented his team with paralegal support.

The firm says queries to its Irish immigration team have more than doubled over the past 12 months.

Ms Crotty has been promoted to managing associate and managing knowledge lawyer in the firm’s employment team.

She advises on all aspects of employment law, including contentious claims, workplace investigations, and complex redundancy processes.

She has significant experience acting for employers in defending claims before the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court, including cases of unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, and discrimination.

Ms Crotty is particularly interested in the future of work and supports Lewis Silkin’s ‘Future of Work’ community initiative, which helps organisations anticipate and respond to emerging workplace trends.

As well as managing associate, she has been appointed as a managing knowledge lawyer, a non-client-facing role that supports the wider team through research, training and legal insight across the practice.

Síobhra Rush, partner and head of office at Lewis Silkin Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to recognise Niamh and Declan’s outstanding contributions to our clients and to the firm.

“Their promotions reflect not only their individual achievements, but also the strength of talent developing within Lewis Silkin.

“With Joanne Hyde joining us as partner earlier this year, and further hires planned in the coming months, we’re continuing to grow our team in Dublin in response to client demand.

“Employment and immigration are both fast-moving, strategically important areas for many of our clients, and it’s especially rewarding to see long-standing team members step into senior roles as part of that growth.”
