UK Lords to report on Bill Of Rights
The House of Lords European Union Committee will next week publish its report on the UK government’s proposals to introduce a British Bill of Rights and repeal the Human Rights Act.
During the inquiry, the committee heard evidence from a number of witnesses including Justice Secretary Michael Gove, two former Attorneys General, a former Lord Chief Justice and former judge of the Court of Justice of the EU, representatives of the Scottish, and Welsh governments, and academic experts on legal affairs.
