Ms Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, was invited to speak about the findings of her latest report, Genocide as Colonial Erasure.

Her report finds that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Israel has committed acts of genocide in Gaza and calls for the international community to “intervene now to prevent new atrocities that will further scar human history”.
