William Fry advises Beazley Group on authorisation of insurance company
William Fry advised the Beazley Group in relation to the authorisation by the Central Bank of Ireland of Beazley Insurance DAC as a non-life insurance company.
The law firm has been working closely with the Beazley team on this project and advised Beazley on the authorisation application process, particularly its engagement with the Central Bank.
John Larkin, chairman and head of William Fry’s insurance and reinsurance department, said: “We warmly congratulate all the Beazley team on successfully securing authorisation as a non-life insurance company in Ireland and ultimately, ensuring Beazley can continue to service its EEA clients in a post-Brexit world.
“Having had an existing reinsurance operation in Ireland, Beazley fully appreciates what the Irish jurisdiction has to offer for international insurance insurers including from a regulatory perspective, in terms of its positive working relationship with the Central Bank of Ireland.”
