William Fry triumph in corporate quiz competition
Staff at William Fry have triumphed in the Business Journalists Association of Ireland (BJAI)’s annual Corporate Challenge quiz.
The William Fry team, paired with Dearbhail McDonald, group editor of Independent News and Media, beat off stiff competition from teams from the Dublin Chamber, Tesco, Heineken and EirGrid.
The event, which was sponsored by William Fry, raised €50,000 in aid of the Simon Community. Over the past 17 years, it has raised more than €550,000 for the homelessness charity in Dublin.
Cormac Little, David Fitzgibbon, David Jones and Cathal Grennan represented William Fry in the competition.
Mr Little, a competition and regulation partner at William Fry, said: “The BJAI Annual Corporate Challenge Quiz is a super event. Our sponsorship and participation gives great profile for the firm.
“Most importantly, it also raises a lot of money for the Simon Community. A charity that is always deserving of support but particularly now given the ongoing housing crisis.
“In a closely-fought battle, we came with a late run to claim victory in this year’s quiz. We look forward to trying to defend our crown in 2018.”
