William Fry has been named Ireland’s patent litigation firm of the year at the Global IP Awards 2024.

The awards ceremony, which took place at St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London on Thursday 17 October, brought together leading law firms and practitioners from around the world to celebrate achievements in the field of intellectual property.

William Fry was awarded for its strong market reputation and successful track record in handling complex patent litigation cases.

The firm was also shortlisted for ‘Irish Trademark Firm of the Year’ and was one of only two Irish law firms to be recognised in two award categories.

Laura Scott, co-head of intellectual property litigation at William Fry, said: “We are incredibly proud to receive this award in recognition of the hard work and dedication of our talented team. We constantly strive to provide the highest level of service to our clients and very grateful to them for putting their trust in us.”

Managing partner Owen O’Sullivan added: “William Fry is proud to be among the distinguished winners at this year’s Global IP Awards and we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence in patent litigation. This award further solidifies our position as leaders in intellectual property law and as the preferred corporate law firm in the Irish market.”
