World-leading arbitrator to give lecture in Dublin
The worldwide president of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) is due to deliver a lecture in Dublin on Friday.
Dr Nayla Comair-Obeid will deliver this year’s Ken McQuillan Lecture on the subject “Dispute Avoidance and Resolution in Times of Crisis”.
The Beirut-based arbitrator will appear in the Radisson Blu Hotel on Golden Lane at a free event from 5pm-6pm.
Bill Holohan, chair of CIArb’s Irish branch, told Irish Legal News: “We in the Irish branch are delighted to welcome Dr Nayla Comair-Obeid C.Arb, the current CIArb Worldwide President, to Dublin on Bloomsday when she will deliver the Ken McQuillan lecture.
“This is a significant honour for the Irish Branch. The event is open to all to attend as is the dinner that evening which is also being attended by the branch chairpersons from all the CIArb branches in Ireland and the UK.”
