Worthingtons Solicitors grows Belfast and Newtownards offices
Belfast and Newtownards firm Worthingtons Solicitors has announced the promotion of a new partner and two new associate partners.
Brian Moss has been promoted to partner in the firm’s litigation department, where he specialises in judicial review litigation and disputes involving public law and human rights issues in a wide range of areas, with a particular interest in educational law and immigration.
Amy Barr has been promoted to associate partner in the employment department. She represents both employers and employees in a range of contentious and non-contentious matters, including unfair dismissal and discrimination complaints before the Industrial Tribunals and the Fair Employment Tribunal.
Katrina Lagan has been promoted to associate partner in the litigation department. She has experience representing both private and commercial clients in a wide range of civil matters including debt recovery, civil injunction proceedings, ejectment proceedings, personal injury, clinical negligence, boundary disputes, property damage claims, judicial review and small claims matters.
All three of the new partners and associate partners are based in Belfast, but the firm’s Newtownards office has also grown with the appointment of Lauren McShane as a solicitor in the property team.
Ciaran McConnell, partner and head of the litigation and dispute resolution team, told Irish Legal News: “These promotions are well deserved and recognise the outstanding achievements of our extremely dedicated solicitors and will strengthen and enhance the litigation, employment and property teams as the firm goes from strength to strength.”
