A&L Goodbody tops M&A league table
A&L Goodbody has ranked as the top M&A firm in Ireland by deal count in the latest edition of Mergermarket’s Global and Regional M&A Report.
The firm advised on nine deals worth $568 million in the first half of 2020, closely followed by Matheson, which advised on nine deals worth $405 million, and McCann FitzGerald, which advised on nine deals worth $116 million.
Business law firm Mason Hayes & Curran LLP advised on nine deals worth $71 million.
Arthur Cox advised on eight deals worth $754 million, William Fry advised on seven deals worth $586 million, LK Shields advised on seven deals worth $207 million, and Eversheds Sutherland advised on six deals worth $8 million.
US firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, which does not have offices in Ireland, advised on five deals worth $630 million, climbing dramatically to ninth place from rank 102 in the first half of 2019.
Regan Wall, which was founded in 2018 and did not appear in the H1 2019 rankings at all, claimed tenth place after advising on five deals worth $26 million.
