NI: Academic urges rethink of legal aid and children’s proceedings reform
The current approach to reforming access to justice in children’s proceedings should be reconsidered, argues Conor McCormick in a new paper for the Northern Ireland Legal Quarterly.
Mr McCormick, a PhD researcher at Queen’s University Belfast, sets out his views in a paper titled Capitalising on the conceptual divide: access to public and private justice in children’s proceedings.
He told ILN: “The article is hot off the NILQ press - so to speak - and available to download for free on an open access policy.”
The paper can be downloaded as a PDF from the Social Science Research Network website.
