Addleshaw Goddard announces charity partnership with Jigsaw
Addleshaw Goddard Ireland has announced a three-year charity partnership with Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health.
Supporting young people both online and via services around the country, Jigsaw provides free advice and support to those aged 12-25 years old.
Working to make mental health a national and local priority, Jigsaw services give families, educators, and those who support young people’s mental health ways to cope and the necessary skills to support the young people in their lives.
The charity was selected by Addleshaw Goddard following input and endorsement from across the firm.
Throughout the three-year partnership, Addleshaw Goddard will support Jigsaw through fundraising, donations, volunteering, and will provide pro bono legal advice to the charity.
Mark Walsh, head of Ireland at Addleshaw Goddard Ireland, said: “At Addleshaw Goddard, we want to support our colleagues and their families by making additional support available to champion positive mental health.
“When we consulted with our colleagues, youth mental health was a common area of interest across the firm so a partnership with Jigsaw is a great fit for us.
“We are excited about working with Jigsaw to support the important work that they do but we will also benefit from having access to services that will benefit our colleagues.
“The partnership will be led by our recently established network of social mobility champions made up of volunteers from across the firm.”
Mike Mansfield, director of communications and fundraising at Jigsaw, added: “Our partnership with Addleshaw Goddard Ireland is a positive and important development for Jigsaw.
“As an organisation at the forefront of understanding the mental health needs and experiences of young people we hugely value partnerships like this that help raise awareness, funding and understanding — all vital ingredients in our journey towards better mental health outcomes for young people across Ireland.
“To have Addleshaw Goddard stand alongside us on this journey is fantastic, and we are hugely grateful for their support.”
